Kala Cotton is an indigenous - climate beneficial rain fed crop that grows without the assistance of irrigation or chemicals in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
The cotton ingredient of this garment was hand-spun into yarn and handwoven into fabric without the use of electricity in the Gondal region of Gujarat, naturally dyed in Pondicherry - the fabric was then cut, sewn and finished in New Delhi. It takes the combined cooperation of 7 Artisans - 25 hours to bring this garment to life.
